Community games and submissions
A community game is five pictures someone else chose, each with a year and a place they set. It is not a live duel. Making one, and sending a photo in for the daily, both ask you to log in.

What the create page actually asks
You pick five pictures, set a year and a location for each, and challenge friends or the wider community. The public create page is one official source for that workflow, not independent confirmation of the number of active games. I do not infer activity from sitemap URL counts.
The submit page is separate. You offer a photograph for a future daily. If it is used, players worldwide guess it, and you decide whether your name is shown. Both doors require an account.
Reddit, Discord, and the bot that is not documented
The home page links discord.gg/6RUepDCMab. The invite record names the guild TimeGuessr, shows the inviter as gusowen, and on 30 Oct 2026 reported 175 members (Discord API only; a changeable snapshot). r/timeguessr was created on 13 Apr 2023. Its rules ban location and year corrections, ban bug reports, and ban reposts.
Search suggestions mention a Discord bot. I found no page from the maker that documents one. I will not describe commands I have not seen.
