Modes
TimeGuessr modes
The home page offers doors. It does not explain them. Daily, random play, community games, the archive, and multiplayer are different jobs, and only some of them ask you to sign in.

Five doors
Daily is one shared set of five photos until 07:00 UTC. Random single player is a fresh set, with or without a timer. The archive replays a closed daily. Community games are sets other people built. Multiplayer is a live 1v1, either ranked or with a friend.
A guide from late October 2026 still said there was no live multiplayer. The multiplayer page and the 21 Oct 2026 app notes both describe real-time 1v1 duels. I follow the page and the store notes.
- Daily — one set, shared, free to open.
- Single player — random photos, timer optional.
- Community — player-made sets and photo submissions.
- Multiplayer — ranked and with friends.
- Archive — the calendar of closed dailies.
What is free
The multiplayer page says every game is free to play. Creating a community game, submitting a photo, and joining multiplayer ask for a login. Daily and a random game do not. Ads show on the free layer. Pro removes them on web and app.
