Multiplayer
TimeGuessr multiplayer
Multiplayer is a live duel, not a shared daily. The public page offers ranked play and a game with friends, says every game is free to play, and asks you to log in. A room-size limit is not printed, so I leave it blank.

Ranked, with friends, and what changed in October
The page names 1v1, Ranked, and With friends. App version 8.0.1, dated 21 Oct 2026 on both stores, describes real-time 1v1 duels and weekly ranked divisions. EraGuessr’s 24 Oct 2026 line that there is no live multiplayer is older than that release in spirit and wrong against the page.
One official client script names Bronze, Silver, Gold, Master, and Timekeeper; III, II, and I apply to the first four tiers. This is a single-source reading of labels on 30 Oct 2026, not independent verification of promotion rules. I do not have a public points table for promotion.
What I will not invent
How many people can sit in a friends game is not on the page. I am not filling that with a guess. Regions and matchmaking rules are also unstated.
“Create a game” on the site is a community set of five pictures with years and places you choose. It is asynchronous. I send that task to the community page so this one stays about the live duel.
